Be Well Programs are 2 hour programs presented throughout the Southern Nevada Community to adults 60 years of age and above. The programs are offered free of charge and include a healthy & delicious lunch, an educational presentation and a movement section. Eat, Laugh and Be Well focuses on nutrition, seated yoga, laughing yoga, Chi Kung and brain health. Eat, Be Happy, Be Well shares awareness of depression in older adults and highlights coping strategies and positive thinking for the common challenges of aging. A seated, “happy” dance/movement program is presented by dance professionals. A third module, Eat, Sleep and Be Well focuses on sleep issues. Its causes and options to get better rest and an opportunity to explore relaxation techniques.
